SCOPE OF POSITION :

The Site Operations Manager provides site and operational leadership to the CS Operations site. The Site Operations Manager is essential to ensure the safe production of quality products on a timely basis for our customers. The Site Operations Manager's role requires participation in and regular decision-making authority for site specific issues requiring collaboration across departments. This position creates and implements systems to improve the safety, quality and efficiency of operations departments applicable to the site and provides technical and managerial support to Managers, Supervisors, and Hourly employees.

This position supports Muncy, PA manufacturing.

  • Maintains safety, product quality, manufacturing, shipping and administrative effectiveness by examining equipment, systems, processes, operations procedures, product components and assembly methods to attain customer requirements, determine time or quality revisions and suggest/implement improvements.

  • Responsible for providing a safe environment for workers and for proactively facilitating and inspiring an active culture of safety among their team.

  • Maintains compliance with Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping

  • Management and training of Operations team and applicable departments, maintaining regular communication with reports on subjects including, but not limited to, coaching, career progress, company, site, and department news and objectives, and corrective discussions and actions.

  • Ensures quality and timely execution of duties performed by Operations departments and functional areas applicable to the CS Site

  • Ensures delivery of KPIs including day to day service levels, customer experience, quality measures and monitoring of throughput.

  • Improves/collaborates on operations disciplines including but not limited to safety, productivity, quality, and process engineering utilizing tools such as 5S, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen evaluations

  • Establishes, measures, and enforces operations/manufacturing metrics appropriate to site output

  • Manages cost factors applicable to site operations management

  • Serves as Chairperson of the Site Safety Committee

  • Partners with all site departments to offer/implement recommendations and solutions for site performance

  • Partners with other CS sites as applicable to align to overall OneCS vision

  • Leads workforce planning initiatives for budgeting process and performance attainment

  • Applies a continuous improvement methodology to identify opportunities and implement solutions to drive out waste and minimize variation from our processes

  • Recommend areas for capital investment utilizing a business case justification format

  • Collaborates with Senior Operations Manager and CS management for operations performance improvement opportunities

  • Performs all other duties assigned by management

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION : (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Production Management or similar or significant experience in manufacturing operations (with demonstrating progressive career responsibilities).

  • At least 7 years of manufacturing experience with a working knowledge of supply chain and with 3-5 years of manufacturing management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Coaching and leadership skills, employee training and development

  • Supervision, including employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline

  • Lean Manufacturing Knowledge and an ability to implement Lean methodology. Understanding of Six Sigma principles and applications is a plus.

  • Strong background in supporting safety practices – upholding OSHA / regulatory standards alongside CS standards.

  • ISO experience is a significant plus.

  • Demonstrated sound management judgment and keen business acumen that includes strategic thinking

  • Ability to effectively solicit and apply feedback from SME’s and team members

  • Measurement of performance to goals and standards including utilization of reporting and dashboards

  • An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations

  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with business stakeholders.

  • Experience with MPS/MRP systems. Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
